He and Rosa let their feelings out in Kiss of Darkness, they decide to hide their feelings until Rosa graduates from high school, these dreams are shattered when Dimitri becomes a Strigoi at the end of the book. Subsequently, he becomes a dhampir again and admits that he still loves Rosa.
